The most depressing day of the year…

Today I read an article from the BBC claiming that today is supposedly the “most depressing day of the year.”

Why?
Because the Christmas glow has faded.
Because some New Year’s resolutions have already slipped.

And honestly, just glancing at the news is often enough to make anyone feel heavy. The uncertainty, the noise, the constant sense that things are unsettled. But uncertainty isn’t new. It never has been.

It’s only when we look back that we realise something important. We made it through. Every hard day. Every low moment. Every season that felt endless.
You’ve survived all of them. Otherwise, you wouldn’t be reading this.

So regardless of what’s happening right now, sometimes things are simply… a bit rubbish. And all you can do is laugh, smile, take a breath, and try again tomorrow.

Here’s to joy.
To small moments.
To making new memories.
