FB just reminded me that I picked up my camera for the very first time 6 years ago.
This has brought me so many memories. I remember begging my sister back then to pose in front of the camera; while I tried a few ideas I had read from magazines & forums.
Of course, she refused; like most of my friends back then. Boy, it was so hard to understand things like F-stops, speed, & ISO; but I read about these things every day for hours. My heart already knew that the moment I grabbed my first DSLR, Nikon D3100 (for me, it was the best camera in the world) was meant to change my world completely.
Back then, I didn’t have anyone to practice with, so I had no option but go for my teddy bear. (in case you ask , I still have it in my bedroom) He was ok with this request and remained seated throughout the entire session & didn’t complain a single time to the fact that I hardly knew how to use my camera. Of course, he remained my subject for many months to come.
6 years later, I am confident in my craft. I have learned so much about photography. I have met amazing people through this world, and many which I have now considered friends.
My camera has taken around the world, and I know this is only the beginning.
There are so many things to learn & more people to meet, and this idea alone really exists me!!!! Also there are thousands of women who still think that they cannot look amazing in front of the camera, so it is my job to prove every single one of them wrong.
